Posted Date: 11/1/2011

The Conservation Technology Information Center, Tetra Tech, Inc. and Kieser & Associates, LLC recently completed a final report to U.S. EPA entitled, Wabash River Watershed Water Quality Trading Feasibility Study.  Preliminary report findings indicate that water quality trading for total phosphorus and total nitrogen would be environmentally protective and economically viable for many entities in the watershed.  The report includes a list of other benefits water quality trading could provide, including longer planning and construction schedules for point sources, consideration of partial treatment options, additiona environmental gains, accelerated implementation schedules, and allowing for future growth in fully allocated watersheds.

A copy of the final report can be downloaded from our Technical Reports page.
